This Privacy Policy explains how Conscious Marketing, Inc. (“we”, “us”, “our”), the company behind Lisa Cherney, collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit lisacherney.com (the “Site”), join our email list, or contact us. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
The Site is operated by Conscious Marketing, Inc., Mission Viejo, CA can reach us about anything in this policy at hey@gfr.life.
2. The information we collect
Information you give us
- Email sign-up. When you request a free resource (such as the 12 GFR Commandments) or join our list, we collect your first name and email address.
- Messages and applications. When you email us, ask about booking Lisa to speak, or apply for an UnMentor interview, we collect what you choose to share, such as your name, email address, phone number, business details and your answers.
- Clients. If you become a coaching client, information you share during the program is handled under your client agreement and kept confidential.
Please do not send health, financial or other sensitive personal information through the Site or by email unless we specifically ask for it.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, your browser automatically sends us some technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the site that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 4).
3. How we use your information
- To send you the resource you asked for and, if you signed up, our emails: podcast episodes, insights, events and offers.
- To reply to your messages, review applications, and arrange speaking engagements, calls or coaching.
- To understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it.
- To run, secure and maintain the Site and prevent spam and misuse.
- To meet our legal obligations and protect our rights.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
4. Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. The Site uses:
- Strictly necessary cookies that make the Site work, including one that remembers your cookie choices.
- Analytics cookies from Google Analytics 4, which tell us how many people visit, which pages they view and how they found the Site. Google processes this data on our behalf. We use CookieYes to ask for your consent to non-essential cookies and to record your choices. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer of every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the Site may not work properly if you do.
Do Not Track. Browsers handle Do Not Track signals inconsistently, so the Site does not currently respond to them. You can control analytics cookies through the consent settings above.
5. Email marketing
We only add you to our email list when you sign up. Every email we send identifies us, includes our mailing address, and has an unsubscribe link. You can unsubscribe at any time using that link or by emailing hey@gfr.life. We will still send non-promotional messages you need, such as replies to your questions.
6. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run our business. They may use it only to provide their services to us:
- Kit (ConvertKit) for email sign-up forms and email delivery.
- Google for website analytics (Google Analytics 4) and web fonts (Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the Site loads).
- CookieYes for cookie consent management.
- Our website hosting and content delivery providers for hosting, speed and security of the Site.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or restructuring of our business.
7. Where your information is stored
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may store and process information in the United States and other countries. Privacy laws there may differ from those where you live, and foreign governments, courts or law enforcement may be able to access it. By using the Site, you understand that your information may be transferred to these countries.
8. How long we keep it
We keep email list details until you unsubscribe, then keep only a suppression record so that we don’t email you again. We keep messages and applications for as long as we need them to respond and for our business records.
9. How we protect it
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and reputable service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you, and ask how it has been used and shared.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete your information.
- Withdraw consent, including unsubscribing from emails or changing your cookie choices.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information.
To make a request, email hey@gfr.life. We may need to verify your identity before we act. We will respond within the time the law requires, and we won’t treat you differently for using your privacy rights. Canadian residents can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. California residents can have an authorized agent submit a request for them. Residents of the EU/UK can also complain to their local data protection authority.
11. Children
The Site is for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Other websites
The Site links to other websites, including our podcast site gfr.life and social media platforms. Each of those sites has its own privacy practices. We are not responsible for them, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version here and change the effective date at the top. If we make significant changes, we will give additional notice where the law requires it.
